WAX AND LOOMS is a brand that provides well tailored handmade clothing, accessories and household decor items using Ghanaian traditional techniques of cloth making by wax, weaving by looms and bead making using traditional ovens.
Through our products we hope to provoke a genuine interest into the culture and traditional techniques of hand printed and hand woven fabrics as well as beads. Our products are designed and produced in Ghana and Mauritius and accessible to clients world wide through our online shop.
Handmade products are truly unique and may have slight variations in colour and patterns. We celebrate these variations and hope you will too. Knowing that for each item even though we make multiple of them, are all truly one of a kind.
Sustainability is the core of our business thus our operations are designed to minimise waste. Our mode of operation relies on two approaches; we maintain a minimum stock and also make to order. With this approach, we strive to replenish stock as soon as it is purchased however in the event that a product is not readily available, the “made to order” option can be used.
