Akoma is the heart. It is represented by the universal symbol of love. As an Adinkra symbol, it is the symbol of patience, tolerance, fondness and goodwill. There is an Akan phrase “Nya Akoma” which when loosely translated means “Get a heart”. Often used when asking a person to be patient.
Is there someone you are fond of or asking for patience over a misunderstanding? Our AKOMA Gift card helps you to say it all.
